Job Description
The Akeh Baptist Health Centre started in 1984 as a primary Health (PHC) under the life abundant Health Care programme of the CBC Health Services. In 1996 the Primary Health Center was transformed to a full-fledged Health Centre of the CBC Health Services.
Services Offered Outpatient Services General consultation. Registration, Laboratory that does microscopy, Hematology tests, Chemical analysis and staining among, Pharmacy that dispenses medications, Treatment room where minor surgeries are carried out, Antenatal clinic (ANC), infant welfare clinic (IWC) and Voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) for HIV. All five Family Planning (FP) methods are offered.
Inpatient Services General Admission Men’s Ward, General Ward (for women and children) Private Ward. Maternity Ward for pregnant women receiving postpartum care.
Staff Strength: 12 including a screener Number of patients: 150 patients a month. Opening Hours: 24/7, Three shift system – 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Catchment Areas: Akeh, Mbessa, and Gofung Location Akeh Baptist Health Centre is located in Mbessa Health Area, under Fundong Health District, Fundong Sub Division in Boyo Division Northwest Region of Cameroon.
